Please call (727) 892-4200 and follow the prompts to the nursing options.

Medical questions are initially handled by our nursing staff. Their training and knowledge allows them to answer your medical questions and report to the physician any concerns regarding your child's condition. They meet with the doctors regularly to discuss your child's condition and testing results in order to decide on appropriate follow up care. This close communication between the doctors and nurses allows us to provide the best care for your child.

Our nurses are available to:

  • Assist with education regarding heart disease in children
  • Answer questions or give advice regarding your child's heart problems
  • Answer questions regarding upcoming tests
  • Review testing results with parents
  • Facilitate communication between the doctors and families
  • Authorize prescription refills and antibiotics prior to dental and surgical procedures

Much of your contact with the nurse will be by telephone. When leaving a message, please spell your child's name and leave a telephone number where the nurse can return your call.

CALLS FROM OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS
Please be aware that we cannot give out any medical information to family members other than the parents or legal guardian without proper written consent. However, other family members may accompany the parents and child to a visit and ask questions then.
